Bruges to Amsterdam
September 13-24, 2018
Following our overnight flight from Boston to Amsterdam, we transfer to Bruges, Belgium where we spend our first night at the 4 Star Crowne Plaza Hotel. The following day, we hop aboard the Premium Barge MAGNIFIQUE for a second night & tour of Bruges. Spend the next 6 days cruising & biking through some of the most beautiful cities of Flanders (Western Belgium) & Holland: Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, Kinderdijk, & Amsterdam. In Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we’ll see an impressive row of nineteen large windmills, one of the most iconic sites in Holland. After our last night on the barge in Amsterdam, we’ll spend our final 2 nights at the 4 Star Movenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center before flying back to Boston.
The MAGNIFIQUE is a 5-star barge under Dutch flag & management. All cabins have portholes, shower & toilet, individually regulated air conditioning, flat screen TV (satellite), a small safe & hair dryer. On the upper deck there are a tastefully furnished salon with restaurant, bar, lounge with wide screen TV, large windows, Wifi (with limited data use), two partly covered teak & wooden sun decks with chairs & tables & cycle shed (front deck), and with a whirlpool/Jacuzzi & barbecue on the aft deck.
