The Best of Norway's Scenery, Culture & History

We'll tour Norway from the cosmopolitan city of Oslo, to the western Fjord city of Bergen.  Along the way we'll experience a new adventure everyday as we immerse ourselves in the scenic highlights of Norway including:  cruising the Aurland and Naeroy Fjords, a UNESCO World Heritage site; riding a train up the famous Flam railway, ascending 2,900' - and then bicycling down, inhaling the stupendous views along the way; participating in a snowshoe excursion on the Folgefonna Glacier; walking underneath the Steindalsfossen waterfall and exploring the scenic hamlets of Laerdal and Lofthus.

We'll take in cultural highlights such as the very unique Oslo Opera house where we will walk on the roof as it descends to the harbor, the Oslo City Hall - where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded, visit the National Gallery to see "The Scream", take an evening walk through Vigeland Sculpture Park, tour a wooden Stave church built in the twelfth century, and board a funicular for an intimidating view from the top of the Holmenkollen Ski Jump!

We'll take a Ferry to Bygdoy for an in-depth view of Norway’s sailing history through visits to the Viking Ship, Kon-Tiki, Maritime and the Fram museum, chronicling the famous polar expeditions.  In Bergen, we'll take a walking tour to the picturesque medieval wharf Bryggen, another UNESCO World Heritage site and visit the Bryggen and Hanseatic Museums chronicling this city’s import role in Norwegian history.
