Cape Cod - Once again, the SSC is offering up the Great Cape Escape weekend excursion to bike, beach comb, party and/or just plain sit and relax in and around the North Eastham, Mass. area on eastern Cape Cod. We will be staying at the newly renovated Captain’s Quarters motel ( CQ’s ) directly off route 6 in North Eastham.

Nearby attractions include the Cape Cod National Sea Shore with Marconi, Nauset Light and Coast Guard beaches near by, easy access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path, right next to the CQ’s, and don’t forget the ever so good lobster roll lunch at Rock Harbor.

Planned activities include:

• Friday night welcome gathering
• Sunset watching at First Encounter Beach.
• Biking in and around Eastham on the Rail Trail and out to the beaches
• Biking through the Dunes up at Race Point
• Bird watching at Nauset Marsh for those brave enough.
• And don’t forget, a bike trip for lunch at Rock Harbor on Saturday
• Whale watching at Race Point
• Kayaking on local salt water marshes
