The Trapp Family Lodge mountain-top resort spans 2500 acres of winter wonderland, nestled in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains.

We all think we “know the story”, but join this trip and get the “real story” of the von Trapp family and their journey to Stowe, Vermont!   And while we’re there, we’ll get out and play!   We’ll explore the Vermont mountainside, the perfect setting for outdoor winter activities.   Over 100 km of groomed trails beckon and the Outdoor Center provides all the professional instruction and equipment needed to enjoy them. Nordic skiing, snow shoeing, maple sugaring tours, guided hiking, and sleigh rides are a few of the activities to be enjoyed.

And after playing hard, we’ll enjoy the Chef’s preparation of seasonal menus featuring Austrian and Vermont traditions. Browse the award winning Wine Cellar or head down Trapp Hill Road a bit to the DeliBakery and Brewery serving Austrian-style Lagers and beirgarten fare.

If you’d prefer a bit of relaxation, bring along a book and enjoy it sitting in the sun room, overlooking the picturesque valley. The Fitness Center offers various massage treatments as well as daily morning yoga classes to relieve those accumulated stresses!
