Organized Weekend Trip — PAY ON YOUR OWN
Hike and Bike Beautiful Boothbay, Maine
Saturday and Sunday
September 25-26, 2010
On Saturday hike through pristine Ovens Mouth Preserve, an easy five mile hike through a unique 146-acre parcel of scenic shoreline bordered by swift tidal water, quiet coves and salt marshes. Of the three peninsulas at Ovens Mouth, the preserve includes those on the east and in the middle.
On Sunday we will join the Transit River Kayaking Company for a full or half day guided tour (group choice) to meander through the islands of the coast and into the Sheepscot River. These protected and secluded waters offer an excellent alternative to the bustle of the Harbor where you can see coastal Maine at its best. Regular sitings of osprey, herons, eagles and one of the most active harbor seal colonies in the Gulf of Maine.
Prices for the Kayaking Tour
(Payable on day of trip)
:
Full day: $60 (10 or more kayakers) with or without kayak, includes lunch
Half Day Wildlife Tour: $35 with or without kayak
We must register by Saturday, September 18. Group rate applies for 10 or more kayakers.
